10 Best Sobriety Podcasts to Help You Quit Drinking

If you’re working on cutting back or quitting drinking, then podcasts can be an incredible tool to support your journey. When I first quit drinking I went into Spotify and searched “sober” and started listening to podcasts. It felt like a private way to get support without anyone knowing what I was doing. That’s why when I had more sober time, I decided to start my own podcast to help others who are afraid of quitting drinking and need support.

There are so many podcasts to choose from. In this article I’ll share 10 of my favorites and a bit about the show and the host.

  1. Sober Powered

I have to mention my own right? In the Sober Powered Podcast, I use science, psychology, and compassion to help you understand why you use self-destructive coping skills like alcohol, what happens in the brain to make drinking spiral out of control and prevent us from drinking in moderation, and how to develop the coping skills and emotional sobriety you need to quit drinking and stay sober.

Casey is one of my closest friends in the sober space and I highly recommend her podcast.

3. The Addicted Mind Podcast

The Addicted Mind Podcast is about understanding addiction from a research and treatment perspective. Host Duane Osterlind, LMFT dives into what drives the addictive process, explores the latest research on addiction, and talks about the latest addiction treatment options. He also explores what recovery from addiction looks like from a variety of different people.

In my opinion, Duane is the best interviewer out there. He creates such a safe space for his guest and knows how to structure the interview so that his guests can really shine.
